The second bi-annual general meeting of the Lianyungang City Security Technology Prevention Industry Association and the Lianyungang City Outstanding Security Project Competition Awards Ceremony were held in Lianyungang City from June 30th to July 1st. More than 130 leaders and experts from over 20 provincial and municipal security associations, including Guangdong, Xinjiang, Jilin, Fujian, and Jiangxi, from the National Urban Security Association Mutual Aid Alliance, and related Jiangsu cities, were invited to attend the meeting. To improve the quality of equipment, materials and public safety products, and to better serve operational work, with the approval of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and in accordance with relevant national standards and public safety industry standards issued by the state, industry supervision spot checks were conducted on some public safety products from the end of 2013 to April 2014. In 2013, the industry spot-checked two types of products: law enforcement audio-visual recorders and road traffic signals. The quality supervision and inspection centers and the traffic safety product quality supervision and testing center were responsible for the inspection, respectively. This time, for the spot check of law enforcement audio-visual recorders, the original plan was to check 58 products from 58 companies.
