To further strengthen law enforcement team management, standardize law enforcement behavior, improve law enforcement efficiency, and achieve just and civilized law enforcement, Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province held a "Law Enforcement Recorder Distribution Ceremony" and application training meeting on December 12, distributing 245 newly purchased recorders to frontline officers, achieving 100% equipment rate for frontline personnel.
At the ceremony, the "Regulations on the Use and Management of Law Enforcement Recorders" were read out, and a representative of the officers gave a statement. Zhao Zhengcai, the deputy secretary of the Party committee and political commissar of the bureau, made requirements on strengthening the use and management of law enforcement recorders: First, enhance the awareness of evidence, and law enforcement recorders must be carried and used for full-process shooting and evidence collection during law enforcement; second, standardize the use procedures of law enforcement recorders to ensure that the recorded content is objective, true, and complete; third, properly store the equipment, regularly conduct comprehensive inspections and maintenance of law enforcement recorders to ensure good equipment performance and ensure that they are readily available.
After the ceremony, the bureau also invited technical personnel from the manufacturer to use a projector to give a detailed explanation and training on the principles, structure, nature, and operation of the "recorder".
“Even with tight funding, providing each frontline officer with a law enforcement recorder aims to further strengthen the standardization and supervision of law enforcement behavior...” said Zhao Julun, deputy county magistrate and director of Shuyang County. With law enforcement recorders, not only can the entire process of police response and other law enforcement activities be recorded, including complete audio-visual materials, and evidence of illegal and criminal activities collected immediately, but it also protects legitimate rights and interests. This is also one of the specific measures taken by Shuyang County to actively implement the deepening of the standardized construction of law enforcement in government agencies, and will surely promote the standardized construction of law enforcement and push the quality of law enforcement work to a new level in the new year.
